Our Key Crew & Cast



Phil Arentz (Director) has been an avid film watcher and maker since a young age. He has directed one short film now in festival rotation and produced another short with Sleepwalker's DP, Jake Beyer, that was shot in Iceland. Phil has had the opportunity to work on major sets in both Los Angeles and Philadelphia- as well as holding an internship with Red Hour Productions in LA and Harrisburg International Airport. Phil is currently in the Directing BFA in the Film and Media Arts program at Temple.











Jake Beyer (Cinematographer) is a grant winning Writer / Director of Photography from Philadelphia whose work focuses on narrative film. Presently he is in the Cinematography Concentration at Temple University, recognized for his ability to take a vision to the camera to the screen. He applied for a University Wide grant for the proof of concept for Arcadia, and shot in Iceland. He teamed up with Phil Arentz for the project and plans on turning it into a feature.










Shea Cronin (Editor) is an editor in his senior year at Temple University. He has always been passionate about storytelling, studying creative writing at the School for Creative and Performing Arts in Cincinnati, Ohio and majoring in Film Post-Production for his undergraduate degree. This past summer, Shea interned at Fancy Film Post Production in Los Angeles and had the privilege of studying away in the heart of the film industry. Shea is incredibly excited to work on Sleepwalker with this amazing team.







Ian Mardinly (Producer) started working with cameras in a broadcast program over a decade ago. Since then, Ian has run a locally recognized Broadcast Program, successfully fundraised independent short films, and combined his passions for honest salesmanship and film to form a unique brand of producing. Currently, Ian is working on a reality television show based around traveling the world affordably. He is in the Producing Concentration of the Film and Media Arts Program, through which he is producing Sleepwalker.









Patti Purcell (Mother Hyssop) is an award winning actress brimming with energy and enthusiasm, with over 40 years' industry experience in performing, writing, and directing. Since relocating to Delaware County just one year ago, Patti has lit up stages in Billy Elliot the Musical at Narberth Community Theater, and Sister Act with The Players Club of Swarthmore. Recent television and film credits include, the Investigation Discovery new series Relatively Evil / "A Family to Fear", and feature film "What Do I Do Now?", directed by Philadelphia native, Joshua Coates, to be released Spring 2020. She is honored by the opportunity to support student filmmakers in making their projects a reality. Patti continually trains and hones her craft with The Actors Co-Op in Swarthmore.









Sean Ian (Nathanael) is a New York based actor studying with Lisa Pelikan and Anthony Aibel. Most recently he played the role of Zack in the production 'Who Knows.' His career also includes modeling, commercial work, and a number of other films. On his days off he enjoys writing, and loves to spend time with his wife and two dogs, Taz, and Dingle.












Isabella Conrad (Mabel) was born and raised in Washington DC (no, not Maryland or Virginia), and is the proud owner of a tennis racket she has used almost 6 times! While studying communication at Boston University, she became heavily involved in her theater and improv troupes - so much so, that she decided to ignore her academic advisors and began working as an actor upon graduation. Since then, she has lived and worked in Manhattan and Los Angeles, but recently moved back to the East Coast to try a cheesesteak for the first time (note: she loves them).
